Gedcom Files from the diary of William Albert Asbrook SR.'s "A Line A Day" published in 1930.
Ties many Licking County families together and most Ashbrooks in the U.S. descend from this line according to William A.
William A. Ashbrook was a Congressman from Johnstown, Ohio in the early 1900's. An astute and very successful Businessman, he owned the "Johnstown Independent" Newspaper with my Great, Great Uncle Howard L. Johnson.
I have Uncle Howard's 3 volume set and took the genealogy from the book.
Includes the following families: Ashbrook, Pratt, Peters, Munson, Teeter, Long, Leedy and Swank.
William A Ashbrook's son (John M. Ashbrook) was also a Congressman from Johnstown, Ohio who made an unsuccessful bid for the Republican nomination of President of the United States in 1972.
